Navi Mumbai: – On the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, food was distributed to the children and staff of Vashi Orphanage by Madhukar Foundation, a charitable organization in Navi Mumbai.

All the children in the orphanage are HIV positive and on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, the children were given Amaras Puri meal by Madhukar Foundation.

On this occasion, Dr. Mahesh Patil, President of Madhukar Foundation, said that the festival of Akshay Tritiya has a special significance. Donations made on this day are inexhaustible and there are various religious references to this day in the Puranas. This service started on the occasion of Akshay III will continue uninterruptedly. Various activities are being undertaken by the Foundation for the disabled, third party, senior citizens, orphans, beggars.
